Project Commitment and Expectations - Platinum Level

The 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Online eLearning Team offers eLearning authoring services to faculty members at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ. The reusable learning objects that fall under this category include Articulate Storyline interactives, video quizzing, interactive games, and more. The following document details the commitment level of both the instructional designer and the faculty member for these types of platinum-level projects.

Develop Phase

  • Develop eLearning object
  • 1 min. of content = 1 hour of development time
    This estimate is affected by the elements listed at the bottom of this document
  • Address accessibility and usability concerns 

 

  • Review iterations of project and provide feedback
  • Attend meetings as needed

Review and Implement Phase

  • Test 
  • Publish
  • Train faculty member how to place and migrate eLearning object

 

  • Assume the responsibility of managing eLearning objects in a Canvas course
  • Set grading parameters
  • Support students by providing instructions or tutorials on how to complete assignments associated with eLearning objects
  • Serve as primary point of contact for students and relay any critical concerns to the lead instructional designer

Evaluation and Updates Phase

  • Schedule evaluation meeting
  • Respond to feature requests or bug reports (within regular business hours)

 

  • Keep log of feature requests or bugs
  • Report incidents to lead instructional designer
  • Prepare alternate activites in case of technical difficulties
  • Provide feedback about process and product at the evaluation meeting (initiated by ID)

*Adding or combining the following eAuthoring elements to a project will affect the ID and faculty commitment levels listed in the above table:

  • Assessments (quizzing, testing, drag and drop)
  • Gaming
  • Customized images
  • Audio / video
  • Software simulation

Any product developed with an instructional designers assistance is housed and managed by the eLearning Team. Reuse, modification, or sharing is at the discretion of the eLearning Team. Every effort will be made to inform a faculty member if content they provided will be shared with others.
