The Peer Mentor Program invests in the development of its Peer Mentors and supports their participation in professional development opportunities. The result is excellence in mentoring. The Peer Mentor Program and the work that the Peer Mentors do have received recognition at multiple levels for which Peer Mentors have an opportunity to share their work at different conferences. Mentor Training
Our dedicated Peer Mentors undergo continuous training and professional development, including completion of national certifications like Eduology's Peer Leader/Mentor Training and the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) training. These rigorous programs, along with regular staff and supervisory meetings, ensure that our mentors stay current with best practices, fostering an environment of academic excellence and support for our students

Alyssa Espinoza (Peer Mentor 2017 2020) receives the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Student Employee of the Year Awards and moved on to regionals.
2018
Karina Torres (Peer Mentor 2016 - 2019) receives the College Reading and Learning Association’s Outstanding Mentor Award at the national conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
2019
The A&D Peer Mentor Program staff receives the Outstanding Peer Education Group Award at the NASPA Region V/VI Peer Education Conference at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ.
2018
The A&D Peer Mentor Program receives the Outstanding Peer Education Program Award for “Social Identity Conversations” at the NASPA General Assembly in Orlando, Florida.
