James K. Moore
Pre Medical Professional Program Advisor
In an earlier life and time, I was an opera and musical theater performer performing all over the United States and in Europe. After receiving my Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees from the University of Washington, I taught as an assistant professor at Mercyhurst University in PA and Howard University in Washington, DC.
After my musical performing career, I became the Institutional Director of Recruitment and later Vice President of Institutional Development for the largest medical/dental school in the nation, the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, which currently has four medical schools, two dental schools, and two pharmacy schools; I served on the admissions committees during my tenure there.
I am now pleased to be here at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ as the Pre-medical Professions Advisor, and looking forward to meeting and working with each of you!

Zoology Instructor and Learning Strategist, Brian Pilcher is helping students with study skills. He is here as much for the B student in the College of Science who wants to earn A’s as he is for the student who is struggling to pass. Brian can help you troubleshoot to figure out where you can improve. Some of the areas are time management, study methods, test-taking, and test anxiety.
