We offer a variety of locations and delivery options (click here for a  of clinic locations).

Student placement is based on your physical address. Choose a location that will be easy to commute 3 times a week to:

  • CAMPUS
    • Locations from Logan down to Draper
  • PROVO
    • Please Note: Revere Health in UT County and Revere Health in
      St. George are a part of the Outreach Program.
    • Locations along I-15
    • Eastern Utah
    • 4 Corners (includes Colorado, New Mexico)
    • Wyoming (includes Southern Idaho)
  • MONTANA
    • Includes Northern WY, North/South Dakota 
  • ARIZONA
    • Special programs available for AZ students

Coursework Delivery

  • CAMPUS APPLICANTS are assigned to clinical sites within Ogden/Salt Lake area. Class is held on Tuesdays every week on Weber State's Ogden Campus. Labs are held 3 times a semester on Mondays. (Schedule subject to change.)
  • PROVO APPLICANTS are assigned to clinical sites within Provo area. Students will have class in Provo twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays. They will come to the Ogden campus 3 times per semester on a Monday for Labs.
  • OUTREACH APPLICANTS do a majority of their coursework at their Clinical Site or online and travel to Ogden 3 times each semester for a 2-day visit, with faculty traveling to outreach sites 2 times a semester. 
  • MONTANA APPLICANTS will secure their own clinical site and attend class 3 times per semester in Bozeman, MT.
  • ARIZONA APPLICANTS will secure their own clinical site and attend class 3 times a semester in Phoenix, AZ.

NOTE: All students will spend at least 3 days a week at their clinical site, with at least 24 hours a week (or more if required) of clinical education.

Employment Opportunities

With an AAS in Radiography, you will be prepared to work as a Radiologic Technologist or Radiographer in a hospital, clinic, physician’s office or using an industrial x-ray, such as in the aerospace industry.

Radiologic Technologists (Radiographers) use radiation (X-rays) to produce images of anatomy to perform diagnostic imaging examinations and administer radiation therapy treatments. The images are captured on film, computer or videotape. X-rays may be used to detect bone fractures, find foreign objects in the body and demonstrate the relationship between bone and soft tissue.

Salaries vary depending on the region, workplace and skill level.

Certification

Upon completion, you will be eligible to take the national certification examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Many states require practicing Technologists to be licensed, and you may be able to use your ARRT certification to fulfill state regulations depending on the state. If you want to practice in Utah, you must be licensed as a Radiologic Technologist by the state.
