Utah is famous for its amazing rock art created by Native American and later European cultures. Participants will travel to central Utah to visit archaeological sites and rock art in places like Clear Creek Canyon, Capitol Reef National Park, and Sego Canyon. We will also view archaeological collections at Fremont Indian State Park Museum, Anasazi State Park Museum, and receive a behind the scenes tour at the Prehistoric Museum in Price. Students will come away with a greater understanding of the prehistoric and historic peoples and cultures of Utah.
Requirements:
- Participants must be in good physical health and be able to hike 3-4 miles a day.
