Program Details

The key objective of this program is for students to use group communication, software engineering, and instructional design skills to analyze, document, and research a real world solution to support the mission of a non-profit charity organization that teaches English to Thai children. Students will be working within interdisciplinary teams alongside Thai faculty and students to thoroughly gather and document client training requirements. For Computer Science students, a software prototype will be developed simultaneously during the spring 2017 semester (before and after) the trip.

The education majors will learn inter-cultural communication skills with the adult students in Thailand. In order to accomplish this goal, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ education students will participate in synchronous and asynchronous communication activities with Thai college students before arriving in Thailand, which will lead to a cooperative group project.
