Program Details

Students will have a three- faceted sales experience on this tour. They will have a first-hand experience at the Longest Yard Sale while they try to accrue treasures. They will also be able to study the business model and success of the Vanderbilt’s, through exploration of the continuing industry at Biltmore. This will be contrasted by the “accidental salesmanship” of the Shakers who unexpectedly became known for their industry and acquired wealth in a short period of time. This unintended model (due to their religious beliefs) has influenced architecture, especially in the United States, but also globally.

Selection Criteria:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be an MBA student or have faculty approval
