Sweden and Finland

Program Details

Students will have a unique opportunity to visit with key government, health care, education, entrepreneurial, and civic leaders in both Sweden and Finland in lecture format to learn, first hand, about the health care systems in these nations. They will visit with these officials "on site", able to see some of the best hospitals in the world, parliament, successful private business, and similar locations. Both Sweden and Finland have national health systems that provide care for all, but have their struggles. Students will be able to visit with officials who are open and honest about the good and not so good aspects of these systems. Their health systems have some similarities and differences to those of the U.S. This trip provides a unique opportunity to explore those differences, while enjoying the beauty of Scandinavia.
