Program Details

China has the second largest economy and is becoming more and more important in the world. Yet China is one of the most misunderstood countries from those in the West and the United States. The best way to obtain an unbiased knowledge and viewpoint about China, its history, cultures, peoples, and political situation is to go there and see it with one’s own eyes. Join us on a trip of a lifetime and get expand your world view!

Selection Criteria:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be a high school graduate or above.
  • Read, speak, and understand English.
  • Provide documentation of sufficiently good enough health to travel and participate in a two-week study program.

Cost

$4,700.00 (Airfare Included)

Suggested Payment Schedule:

  • Deposit: $200
  • Jan. 26, 2018: $1,000
  • Feb. 23, 2018: $1,000
  • March 30, 2018: $1,000
  • April 27, 2018: $1,000
  • May 11, 2018: $200

Must be paid in full by May 22, 2018

Deposit: $500 dollars will need to be paid when you hand in your application.

All payments must be made through the Hurst Center, NOT at the main cashier's office. Payment can be made in person, or over the phone at (801) 626-6600. The Hurst Center is located on the south side of campus next to the Alumni Center.

Will include visa, room and board, domestic transportation, and most meals.

Not included: passport, incidentals, excess baggage costs, any unscheduled travel, and all meals.

Academic Courses

Students who participate in this study abroad program will be able to register for up to six (6) semester credits through 91¶ÌÊÓƵ in ANTH 2920 OR ANTH 4920; ANTH 4950; SOC 4830; SOC 4990; CHNS 2852; CHNS 3850; WGS 4060; WGS 4830; WGS 4900

Trip Cancellations

If the trip is canceled, all participants will be refunded. Any refunds for withdrawals from the program will be determined by the Study Abroad Director according to the recoverability of incurred costs and fees and according to the Continuing Education Policy. Once the group leaves all costs are non-refundable in their entirety. Dates & process may change. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of any such changes by staying in contact with the program director.
