We are building our math tutoring staff, so some times of day have fewer tutors. If you come at a time when only one or two tutors are available, the wait time will be longer.

To help you plan when to visit the Math Tutoring Center, please look at our list below of the number of tutors working throughout the day. We will update this schedule as we hire more tutors.

  • Tips to Beat Math Anxiety

It's important to remember that you're not alone in feeling anxious about math. Working with other students, asking questions, and joining a study group can really help boost your confidence. Don't be too hard on yourself if you get a bad grade - seek support and keep pushing forward. Be realistic about the time and effort needed to succeed in math and take regular breaks if you feel frustrated. Consider taking a "fun" class to help relieve stress and reward yourself for your hard work.

  • How to Create a Study Group

When organizing study groups for math homework, it's best to meet at the same time every week for hour-long sessions. Completing homework beforehand is ideal to bring up any questions during the meet-up, rather than doing the homework during the session. It's helpful to quiz each other on vocabulary and steps for certain types of problems as well as reviewing class notes together. If interested, a tutor can join the study group.
