Why Get Involved
The Office of Undergraduate Research welcomes all forms of undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activities. 91¶ÌÊÓƵ defines undergraduate research as; An inquiry, investigation, or creative work conducted by a mentored undergraduate that makes a significant, original, intellectual, or artistic contribution to the discipline. Research projects can provide students with an opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge in a particular discipline, hone their research skills, and become independent self-motivated scholars. There are numerous benefits for undergraduate students who get involved in research. You will establish meaningful relationships with the faculty, deepen your academic experience, develop marketable career skills, and prepare yourself for competitive graduate and professional schools.
