Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters welcomes volunteers 18 years and over to give of their time to change the life of a child. We facilitate and professionally support mentoring relationships that focus on educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors and gaining social competence. Our success is defined by the outcomes we achieve for children, the increased number of children we impact and the community benefits created when children achieve lifelong success.

OWCAP (Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership)

OWCAP’s mission is to elevate individuals, families, and communities of Weber County by improving self‐sufficiency through services and collaboration. We accomplish that mission through our Head Start and Community Support Department.

Ogden Nature Center

The Ogden Nature center is a 152-acre nature preserve whose mission is to unite people with nature and nurture stewardship and appreciation of the environment. We have over 1,500 volunteers annually who help with so many aspects of our mission.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Our mission is to preserve and strengthen families whenever possible, and when it is not, to achieve permanency for children in a timely manner. We work collaboratively to meet children’s needs for safety, stability, nurturance and love. Our advocates strive to represent children with proficiency and diligence. We are accountable, ethical and professional as individuals and as a system.

American Red Cross of Northern Utah

The Utah Region offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your interests, career goals and schedule. Volunteers can respond to disasters, be part of the Service to Armed Forces program, volunteer at Blood Drives and more!

YCC Family Crisis Center

YCC Family Crisis Center is a non-profit organization incorporated to enhance the safety of women, children, and men by providing crisis intervention and advocacy services to reduce and prevent the occurrence of family violence and sexual assault through education and community awareness.

Turn Together

Turn Together Foundation is a community of purpose, hope, credence, and action that empowers people who are veterans, first responders, and fellow citizens with mental illness, neurodivergent minds, physical and health challenges to live a better life through housing, camaraderie, support, resources, recreation, and respect.

Catholic Community Services of Northern Utah

The mission of Catholic Community Services of Utah is to protect the gospel values of love, compassion, and hope thorugh service, support, and collaboration.

Best Buddies

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Friends of Morgan/Weber Children's Justice Center

The mission of the Friends of the Weber/Morgan Children's Justice Center is to provide resources to create a child-friendly, comfortable environment to reduce victim trauma during child abuse investigations. Help the Children's Justice Center provide comfort items for victims of child abuse. Volunteers can work on their own time as individuals or in groups to collect donations of stuffed animals, fidget toys, and other comfort items.

Soroptimist of Ogden

Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.

Utah Foster Care

Utah Foster Care (UFC) is a nationally recognized nonprofit which finds, educates, and supports Utah families, who are willing and able to provide a nurturing homes for children in foster care. In Utah, more than 2,600 children are in foster care at any given time because their own families are in crisis.

The mission of Youthlinc is to create lifetime humanitarians.Youthlinc invests in the service ethic of youth in order to foster individuals in our society who understand local and global needs, and who are deeply committed to work to relieve those needs through personal service, partnership, and good will.

Cottages of Hope

Cottages of Hope is a non-profit agency dedicated to helping Weber County and the Ogden area households achieve greater levels of financial stability that will lead to asset growth and greater independence. Our center provides computers at no cost to Clients for job search and online application, resume preparation, career, and education research, search for housing and a variety of other services.

Eden Streets

Eden Streets is a world-wide organization that relaunches lives and cultivates community through farming. Eden Streets returns disconnected individuals back to the workforce, their families, and their communities.

No Mas Legal

NOMAS is a nonprofit organization that provides free legal immigration services to the community, including free legal representation and consultations. We also offer a free course on the Fundamentals of Immigration Law. This course is ideal for anyone interested in learning about immigration law, working closely with immigration attorneys, helping the immigrant community, or gaining pre-law experience. Many of our former volunteers have gone on to work for law firms, community service organizations, or have pursued law school.

Service Paws

Service Paws, previously known as Service Dog Support and Training Solutions, was established as a nonprofit in January 2017. It is the premier non-profit organization in Layton, Utah that offers the best-in-class virtual and in-person classes for training service dogs for those in Utah. We serve those who are disabled, Veterans, and First Responders with the mission of ensuring access to a better life for everyone with disabilities by helping them train their own service dog.

The United Way of Northern Utah unites people and organizations to build a healthy, stable, and well-educated community where individuals, families, and neighborhoods thrive.

Davis Learning Center

The Davis Learning Center is the Community Center for the Davis School District and will be connecting Weber State Students to volunteer opportunities working with adults learning English.

 

Our mission is to promote the value of learning and self-worth within the community and provide a network of services to students, families, and community members that enhance their cohesive, productive, and responsible participation in society.

Needs Beyond Medicine

Needs Beyond Medicine has a mission to decrease the burden of cancer on those undergoing treatment by providing financial support for non-medical expenses. Needs Beyond Medicine focuses on providing educational outreach regarding the importance of early cancer detection and prevention.
