- Maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.25 and a GPA of 3.7 or higher in social work
- Demonstrate scholarship by applying to and being accepted as a member of Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society
- Demonstrate scholarship by:
- Presenting individually or as part of a panel at a campus event or a local, state, national, or international professional meeting on research, theory, practice or some other topic related to social work
OR - Publishing a paper individually or as part of a group of authors in a recognized professional or student journal on research, theory, practice or some other topic related to social work
- Presenting individually or as part of a panel at a campus event or a local, state, national, or international professional meeting on research, theory, practice or some other topic related to social work
- Demonstrate leadership by filling a leadership position with the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Social Work student organization, the Utah Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) or another local or national organization
- Demonstrate professionalism by:
- Being a student member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) during the senior year
OR - Providing a letter of recommendation from a practicum supervisor attesting to and describing how the student has shown professionalism in her/his field internship
- Being a student member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) during the senior year
Students who have not completed their General Education requirements are encouraged to take Honors General Education classes.
