Colors

Here at Weber, we bleed purple, it is one of the most important visual components of who we are and how our brand is perceived. No other university wears it quite like we do, nor do they have the same level of distinction or recognizability. Let purple be the hero color for all of your designed materials.

Secondary Color Palette

91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s color system includes a broad palette filled with secondary colors that complement Weber’s primary purples and help to distinguish our many colleges and divisions. This does not give a free pass to use all colors at once or without consideration. In fact, all secondary colors should be used sparingly and with good intention, supporting our primary purples and never overpowering them.

Secondary colors can be a great way to add creative expression or visual interest to a project, but please use them in moderation, the integrity of the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ brand will thank you for it.

COLOR ACCESSIBILTY

In accordance with design best practices, we must meet WebAim's AA accessibility standard and strive to meet the AAA standard whenever possible. Accessibility means making sure our content is readable and usable for all audiences, including those who might be visually impaired.

Some type color combinations don't meet accessibility standards due to insufficient foreground and background contrast (ie. white font on a light blue background), so please be mindful of how you use them. We encourage you to utilize this if you are unsure of the contrast level of your chosen color combinations.
