The scholarship recipient must have a declared major within the department of Child and Family Studies, be a full-time student, either a junior or senior, and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. The student must also be able to demonstrate financial need. A Free Application for Federal Student Aid must be completed.

The scholarship recipient must be making satisfactory progress toward a degree, enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) and have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher. Preference will be given to a graduate from any public or private high school within Weber County. Preference will also be given to a student majoring in Child and Family Studies and to a student who demonstrates financial need.
An academic tuition waiver will waive a portion of the in-state tuition. A combination of scholarships may not exceed the amount of annual tuition. The maximum amount of 91¶ÌÊÓƵ institutional scholarships/waivers/awards a student may receive annually may not exceed more than 125% total cost of tuition. It is for the resident, in-state portion of tuition only and will not cover independent study, distance learning/contract courses, credit/non credit or audit course work. The student must be enrolled full time at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ (12-18 credit hours) each semester. To qualify, a student must be a Utah resident with a 3.0 GPA or better, 60 or more credit hours and in an education program. Students below a 2.5 cumulative GPA will have their scholarship removed.
