Teaching Philosophy & Focus
I enjoy teaching, whether it is upper- or lower-division classes. To set the right environment in the classroom and give students the right "tools" in order to succeed is very important for me. For this purpose, I constantly try teaching innovations, including technology, lecture notes, sharing weekly fun, interesting facts about mathematics, or new ways of testing students (the differentiated assessment). Recently, I started to record lectures live and post them on Canvas.
Courses Taught
MATH 4750 - Topics in Mathematics
Research Areas of Interest
My research interests were Fourier expansions with respect to classical orthogonal polynomials. Lately I have been working on singularity capturing spectral methods, namely, recovering the singularities of a piecewise continuous function by means of its Fourier-Jacobi coefficients.
Specific Projects
Currently I am working on generalization of the method for recovery of n-dimensional singularity polynomial hypersurfaces.
