Equipment Provided: Sleeping bags, meals from Dinner on Saturday to breakfast on Monday. Feel free to bring snacks and cash for snacks on the road. Avalanche Safety equipment (beacon, shovel, probe) provided. Please be sure to reserve this package on a rental order when you register.
Meals: All meals in the field are provided with your registration payment! Meals during travel are not included in the price of the trip.

Equipment Needed: Alpine Touring skis, Splitboard, or Telemark skis. Uphill travel is required for this trip! All of this equipment can be rented at the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Outdoor Program for those attending this trip. YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR EQUIPMENT AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION TO ENSURE CORRECT SIZING AND AVAILABILITY. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THE CORRECT EQUIPMENT IS NOT AVAILABLE.
Details: This is the trip of the season, with phenomenal snow, endless options and 2 nights at the yurt. Bloomington Canyon boasts incredible ski and splitboard terrain, and the backcountry yurt is the perfect way to access and experience it. The yurt sleeps up to 12 people and is fully equipped with a large wood stove to keep you warm, cooking equipment, and bunk beds. This trip is for participants with strong skiing/riding skills and fitness who want a solid introduction to backcountry skiing/riding. The yurt sits at an elevation of 7619 ft and is 7 miles from the Bloomington Canyon trailhead. From the trailhead, it is a 1600 ft vertical gain to the yurt. The trail is groomed year-round but is dependent upon snowfall. This trip requires participants to be in good physical condition. Please call for additional information.
