Center for Community Engaged Learning

The mission of the Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) is to engage students, faculty and staff members in direct service, civic engagement and community research to promote civic participation and enhance the educational process. The symposium is an opportunity for students to showcase their community engagement efforts and achievements.

Honors Program

Students in the Honors Program have a lot to show off, and the Research and Engagement Symposium provides the perfect forum. Students showcase their learning, highlight their research, share ideas and celebrate their accomplishments.

Interdisciplinary Studies

The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Program fosters connections across disciplines, departments, and colleges. We invite students who have done interdisciplinary projects (including, but not limited to BIS Capstones) to showcase their work.

International Student & Scholar Center

The International Student and Scholar Center serves as a resource for international students seeking academic opportunities in the United States, at one of the best schools in Utah. Our mission is to support and enhance the experience of international students by providing guidance, resources, and services that foster academic and personal success.

Internships

Internships are a great way to gain valuable experience, exercise existing skills, apply knowledge from your coursework, and gain new skills and knowledge. The earlier and more often you complete internships, the more likely you'll get the job! We’re here to help you complete an internship (INT) designated course or co-curricular program, get a job on campus, or participate in other career exploration and professional development. !

Mentoring Programs

Our Peer Mentor Program boasts clear learning outcomes and specific focus areas to provide targeted support on your academic journey. Our mission is to facilitate the co-creation of meaningful mentoring relationships in an affirming community to address gaps in access, persistence and graduation. We empower students to use and share their knowledge to confidently engage in educational experiences throughout their lives. We aim to lead a deep culture of mentoring to transform the lives of our communities. We are one of many mentoring programs on campus.

Office of Graduate Studies

The Office of Graduate Studies serves as the administrative body within Academic Affairs that promotes, supports, and reviews graduate education at the University. Together with the Graduate Council, they work with university administration, colleges, and academic departments to ensure consistency and excellence in all 20 graduate degree programs. Our programs have award-winning faculty, online and in-person classes and cutting-edge research.

Student Involvement and Leadership

Become a student senator for your college, hold a leadership position in student government, help lead a student club or Honor Society, participate in the Emerging Leaders program, and more.

Undergraduate Research

The Office of Undergraduate Research supports all forms of undergraduate research, scholarly and creative activities. Undergraduate research is an inquiry, investigation or creative work conducted by a mentored undergraduate that makes a significant, original, intellectual or artistic contribution to the discipline.
