Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design Data

The Program of Interior Design offers the public clear, consistent and reasonably current information
addressing student achievement.

The following data was collected using institutional records.

Aggregate data addressing job placement, graduate program acceptance,
graduation rates and retention/attrition rates are provided below:

 

 

Graduate Program Acceptance
 

 

2019:  1 student of  12 from the class of 2019 applied to graduate school and 1 was accepted.

2020:  0% of students from the class of 2020 applied to graduate school.

2021:  3 of 17 students who graduated in 2021 applied for graduate school and 3 were accepted.

2022: 0 students who graduated in 2022 applied to graduate school.

2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ:  0 students who graduated in 2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ applied to graduate school.

2024:  0 students who plan to graduate in 2024 applied to graduate school.

NON-TRANSFER STUDENT DATA:

Of the students graduating in AY20 (who were not transfer students), 62.5% graduated in 4 years or less; 12.5% graduated in 5 years; 25% graduated in 6+ years. *

Of the students graduating in AY21 (who were not transfer students), 70% graduated in 4 years or less; 7% graduated in 5 years; 14% graduated in 6+ years. 

Of the students graduating in AY22 (who were not transfer students), 30% graduated in 4 years or less; 50% graduated in 4 years; 20% graduated in 5 years.  

Of the students graduating in AY23 (who were not transfer students), 50% graduated in 4 years of less; 30% graduated in 4 years; 20% graduated in 6+ years.

50% of transfer students from the class of 2020-2021 took an average of 8 semesters to graduate (2.7 years).*

65% of tansfer students from the class of 2021-2022 took an average of 9 semesters to graduate (3 years).*

25% of transfer students from the class of 2022-2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ took an average of 9 semesters to graduate (3 years).* 

75% of transfer students from the class of 2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ-2024 took an average of 9 semesters to graduate (3 years).*

 

 (91¶ÌÊÓƵ catalog states transfer students will take 'at least 6 semesters to graduate.')

*It typically takes a full-time student taking approximately 15 credits per semester four years to complete the degree program. 

Retention/ Attrition

 

 

59% of students enrolled in the fall of 2019 (who did not graduate) returned in the fall of 2020, putting attrition at 41%.

76% of students enrolled in fall of 2020 (who did not graduate) returned in the fall of 2021, putting attritiion at 24%

85% of students enrolled in the fall of 2021 (who did not graduate) returned in the fall of 2022, putting attrition at 15%

61% of students enrolled in the fall of 2022 (who did not graduate) returned in the fall of 2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ, putting attrition at 39%

82% of students enrolled in the fall of 2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ (who did not graduate) returned in the fall of 2024, putting attrition at 18%

100% of students who graduated in academic year 2022 that sought employment in the design-build profession have a valid 1st year wager record. 

100% of students that graduated in academic year April 2023 91¶ÌÊÓƵ that sought employment in the design-build profession have a valid 1st year wage record.

Double Major/Minor
 

 

75% of students that graduated in academic year 2020 earned a dual major BSc degree in Interior Design and Professional Sales. *

77% of students that graduated in academic year 2021 earned a dual major BSc degree in Interior Design and Professional Sales. *

67% of students that graduated in academic year 2022 earned a dual majors BSc degree in Interior Design and Professional Sales.*

The Double Major option is no longer available as of catalog year 2022.
