91¶ÌÊÓƵ Online & CETL Spring Challenge 2025!
Join 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Online and the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL)
for our spring course design challenge!
It’s a new year and a great time to begin a new challenge! The Spring challenge is a 10-week program that will help you level up your online course content with quick weekly challenges.
This year, we have two tracks of challenges that you can choose from - either focus your changes on adding/increasing Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI) OR improving course Accessibility.
Challenge details
Each week you’ll receive an email with details on the week’s challenge, which should only take about 1 hour to complete. We’ll also include some fun tips & tricks in each weekly email.
It’s easy to join! Just and we’ll start sending you one email a week (don’t worry, we won’t bombard you). The first email will come on Thursday, January 23. You can join any time and still have access to past emails.
Optional compensation
Want to earn something for your participation? You can easily just follow along with the challenges, OR you can earn funds! In collaboration with CETL, we are offering $200 to 91¶ÌÊÓƵ faculty and adjuncts who complete 8 of the 10 challenges (you'll submit proof of completion each week).
Weekly challenge examples
Choose your track - either Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI) or Accessibility.
You can do both, but we'd like you to complete all of the challenges of at least one track.
Accessibility examples:
- Explore the Accessibility Checker
- Learn how to add alt text to images
- Improve video/audio closed captioning
Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI) examples:
- Offer a virtual meeting to discuss and upcoming project
- Facilitate an Annoto video discussion
- Create a mid-semester survey
Recruit your colleagues to join the challenge with you! If you have questions, send us an email or Google chat to instructionaldesign@weber.edu.
