Spring break… the mid-semester pause we all look forward to! You may be asking yourself, what is there to do?
Don’t worry – with the help of some Weber Science Wildcats, we’ve put together five of our favorite things to do during break!
TRAVEL:What’s the song about going to Aruba? Our Wildcat’s may not be going quite that far, but you’ll certainly find some soaking up the sun at the beaches in California! Looking for a destination a little closer? Try visiting one of Utah’s five national parks where you can admire geological wonders, learn about animal life and explore! |
CELEBRATIONS:Let the soiree last all day! Our Wildcats have some huge celebrations planned over the break – from weddings (congratulations to Tanner Bindrup!) to birthdays (happy 20th to CeCi Gibbuh!) – our cats are going to be busy! Whether you’re attending or hosting, it’s sure to be a blast! |
STAYCATION:We get it, after nearly two years of staying home you’re probably ready to go out and have some fun! A stay-cation can be all that and more! We are lucky to be in an area with boundless possibilities – but here are a few ideas: visit downtown Ogden and try a new restaurant or take a stroll on our Discovery Loop Trail – don’t be afraid to be a tourist in your own city! |
TREAT YOURSELF:Did you know that your level of cortisol (stress hormone) can have negative effects on your overall ability to think? Take some time and decompress, you’ve earned it! Treat yourself by sleeping in, watch your favorite shows or movies and do all the things you’re usually too busy to do. Self-care doesn't have to be complicated – just make sure it makes you feel GOOD! |
CATCH UP OR GET AHEAD:It might not be the most exciting way to spend your break but it certainly could help you in the long run! Spring break is a great time to slowly chip away at big projects, write that paper you’ve been avoiding or get ahead of your schoolwork to reduce your stress later on! Spring into action now to avoid procrastination later! |
No matter how you choose to spend your spring break we hope it’s one for the books!
We also hope you share it with us on or . Tag us at @weberstatescience!
